z wont stay running

I purchased a 95 z-28 with an LT-1 engine. It was wrecked pretty bad in the very front( a little frame damage). It came with the front end from a 95 RS camaro. I used the rs clip to repair frame damage as well as the fenders, hood, front clip, airbags, ect... The problem came when I tried to start it. I found out the wiring harness had been destroyed. I purchased a used wiring harness for a v-8, automatic, no rag top it was not specifically for a convertible with a manual transmission so I have some wires that did'nt match up. I got the car to start using a jumper switch across the starter because the ignition switch wont work. The car only has 64k original miles and starts everytime I hit the switch, it sounds magnificent but will not run for more than 2 seconds. Does anyone have any ideas?

it's the VATS causing it. Usually the car will run until it runs the fuel rails dry because the VATS is keeping the fuel pump from turning on.

yup, wonderful VATS. easiest solution is to get it programmed out of the ECM.
