Put in a LT-1 in 82 Camaro, can't get it to idle under 1300 RPM checked all the wiring, it doesn't set a code, anyone have an answer for this.

To many unknowns. What year LT1? Any mods done to motor? Stock wire harness or conversion harness? Any items deleted?

Are you stating that the idle will not drop below 1300 or does it stall at anything below 1300?

check for vac leaks.. probably a big one somewhere thats causing it to suck in too much air.. cap the air inlet and see if it stays running

what about the idle set screw the others mentioned above? is it still a stock throttle body, not ported or anything that would cause too much air to get through.. holes drilled in the blades or etc..

if its not mechanical it would come down to pcm.. have a scan tool?

It's a stock throttle body and I have screwed the idle stop all the way back, I have a scan tool, it will not set a trouble code, I sent the pcm out to have the VATS removed talked to him about the idle he said nothing wrong with the pcm. Maybe go with a carb.

I would suggest placing the IAC into Park Position. The IAC always returns to Zero before counting its Start position. When its Closed or at ZERO Counts. You need to then Disconnect it.. Shutdown the car for 30 seconds. and restart( this time manually operating the throttle to assist the start up..) if it still idles High, your leaking Air into the system or the expected reading from the sensors is not matching the real world condition.

Also Correct me if Im wrong, but shouldn't your IDLE Vacuum be 20 Inch's not 16... Dont quote me, but check it out, Just a place to look..
