lt1 in front of a 700r4?
i just recently bought a beefed up 700r4 with an ATI 10" torque converter. dropped about $1600 into it and would like to keep it. is it possible to put an ltx in front of the 700r4? just an idea i am throwing around and would seriously consider it for the next buildup once the 305 goes if it'll go in front of the 700r4. i know it will physically fit, but i am talking about the computer and stuff. don't know much about EFI, but i would love to learn, and i though this might be a good way to learn!

I think later LT1 ECM's can be tuned to be compatible with the 700R4 (possibly by eliminating it's need for an electronic tranny? Experts, please chime in)...

Good Luck!
Edit: This Will Help

If you already have a 94-97 style TB, you can still use it: Street & Performance makes a bracket to attach to the throttle linkage for that purpose. They also have the TV cables and brackets, too.

They have had them for quite a while...they make all kinds of goodies for LT1s, and not just dressup parts (though all their parts look very nice, too!) Their LT1 videos are very good too, with lots of information that pertains to swaps. Awesome tech line, too!

I'm swapping a 86 LG4 with a 95 camaro z28 LT1. so would a 93 throttle bracket be better/worse than S&R's bracket and cables? Pricewise and quality wise. And I couldnt find a 93 tb in the summit racing catalog. Wheres the best place to buy the 93tb?
