Its Alive!!!
Finaly got the car started yesterday after month and half of work. Was real happy to see it start right up with no problem and find its idel. Car sounds killer with the open headers, just need to do a few more things then i can start driving this thing. The hawks LT's fit great and would recomend them to any one, just had to dimple one of the tubes a little to clear the stearing shaft, which i had to do on my slp shorties i had on my TPI, so no big deal. I'll have some pics, and videos up shortly so stay tuned.

P.S. - Just wanted to say thanks to MR.DUDE and Bruce at hawks for all the help and questions you guys answered.

i have had it running i just cant trace down the ignition problem i have changed everything in the ignition system. i think its time to just let it sit so my savings can recover. lol thanks for the good thoughts. sean
i had mine done by 350lt1.com it is a very easy hook up. my issues are from the engine not being ran for 5 yrs. and the extra harness like my opti harness whent bad. I would recomend 350lt1.com they do a awsome job.

Like Sean said, Dana at LT1350 does awesome work. When I was at Tennessee Auto the International truck they are building has one of Dana's harnesses in it and it looks real good.

i went to speartech for my wiring harness, i sent in my ls1 harness and my tpi harness. Its 400 dollars to do the ls1 harness and you can tie it into our stock harness or you can pay a extra 300 dollars and he'll tie it into it for you. People that have done the wiring harness themselves says its not that super difficult to do it yourself, but i just didn't want to take the time to figure it out or find out that i did it wrong. If yyou pay the extra 300 to have him tie it into the stock harness then yes its a complete plug and play(very nice i say so too). No splicing or anything just plug and go. When i got it back it was even taped and had wireing covers over it so i didnt even have to do it. Honestly it was prolly the easiest thing i've done, when i first looked at it i was like holy crap, then once you get it in there and start hooking it up your like holy crap its almost done. Hope that helps, if you have any more questions feel free to pm me.

P.S. - The 400 dollars is to get your ls1 harness modified so if you do this the wiring to the computer isn't long enough to reach under the dash so you either have to find a place inside the engine bay(doesnt look very good) or you can drill a 2 inch hole under the heater box(where no one can see it anyways) and route it threw there and you be able to put it in the stock location. Either its that or pay 750 for a brand new ls1 harness that can reach to the stock location with out drilling. Its pretty confusing at first, but once you get it, its pretty easy.

Thanks guys, that makes me feel alot better about this. The only part of this swap that had me scared was the wiring
but now that I know I can get it plug-n-play that makes me feel alot better. I am actually using an LQ9 I recently purchased, but it will be wearing an LS6 intake along with a few other mods by the time it lands in my car. I'm sure the LQ9 wires up the same as an LS1, dont you think?

thanks, yea it sounds real quite for some reason in the vid(was using just a digital camara that can do short vids). It was about 100 times louder in person, but anways, thanks for hosting it, just trying to work some of the bugs out of it, then its hitting the road.

Alright car was alive . Went to take it for a test drive yesterday and my skip shift was going crazy, speedo wasn't working right, and the reverse lock out wasn't working. Call TSP today cause they did the tune for me and find out that they thougth i just wanted the auto deleted and not a flash(i guess they do this a lot for those who do a auto to manual swap). So computer went off today overnighted to them so i can get it flashed for a 6 speed and retuned. Wanted to get it to the exhaust shop today but doesnt look like thats going to happen for a few more days. All well i'm just glad it wasn't somthing really wrong just a small mishaps. Thanks a lot for all the complements, hope all your swaps are going well.
Thanks Justin
P.S. i was able to ge it out and washed in the driveway yesterday so i'll post some new pics of it CLEAN , couldnt get it out side to snap the pics since i can't drive any more without the comp, but i got some decent shots from in teh gerage.
Thanks Justin
