Oil Pressure gauge

When doing my wiring somehow my oil pressure sensor on the harness got cut off and I can't find it, so can I just get a mechanical gauge and get rid of the oil pressure sensor. I'm guessing the mech. gauge has a line that runs directly to the block, correct? I've never seen a mech. gauge so I wouldn't know.

yeah theres no reason you couldn't do that. if you ask me though thats a lazy way of doing it. run you a new wire from the sender to the bulkhead connector on the correct pin and be done with it.
