Hot Cam Kit

I have an LT1 out of an Impala SS and I want to upgrade the cam.
I was wondering if the Hot cam kit would be suitable for this upgrade eventhough I had iron heads?

Thanks,
Jay

Hotcam is good, but there are other ones out there that will give you better power and the same driveability. Do you have to pass emissions?

Emissions

In michigan I don't have to pass emissions. Could you offer some other suggestions around the same price ranges.

Thanks,
Jay

with a 2400 stall, I would look at maybe either the CC305 or CC306, the 305 is a little more forgiving for the stall, but both would need at least a 3.42 to take advantage of them, a 3.73 to give it a good kick. The hotcam, as well as these cams would need upgraded valve springs on the heads to take the lift.

And since you need springs anyway, beehive springs and 1.6 RR's would be a great add on as well

Thanks for all the help guys.
Are all these cams around the same price range?
Which is actually the best bang for the buck?
