5.3 truck engine in my 87 camaro

I've come across a 5.3 truck engine for a grand! Comes with everything I would need to get it going. Engine, harness, accessories, computer. Basically a complete pullout minus the trans. I'm wondering if anyone has ever done this swap using the truck harness ect. If so could you guys give me the wiring diagrams for the truck. By the way I started with a carbed car put a tpi unit in from a 86. Built a 355 under it with vortecs and a 700r4 trans. I'm going to part out all of these parts. The engine only had 600 miles on it and I spun a bearing(oil pump screen fell out). trans has 200 miles on the rebuild and has aluminum pan. I will begin dismantling this combo next weekend. I need the wiring pinouts on the truck harness and everything. Please help me out with this. Some of you may remember me talking about my other combo. Thanks fellow third genners!!!

you'll want to begin reading over at ls1tech.com and also http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/ . Good info there as well. I'm going to be doing something similar to what you're doing though in the future - either a 5.3 or 6.0 depending on what falls in my lap.

LS1tech will be your best source to get the info on this motor. You could always cut and paste into word and print it out at work.
