LS1 corvette accessories???
Has anybody completed a LSx swap and used the corvette accessories? If so could I get a couple of pics posted. Was there any problems using the corvette parts?

Re: LS1 corvette accessories???
I'm using the corvette accesories on mine. I'm not finished yet but everything looks fine.
The only problem i ran into was with the A/C. I had two problems. 1. the compressor sits a little bit farther back with the vette then the f-body. 2. the clock positon of where the lines bolt onto the compressor made running the lines almost impossible. So i was going to use the vette bracket with an f-body compressor. But to do this you need to cut a little bit more out of the k-member then what you would have if you used the f-body accesories.
But now i decided i'm not going to use A/C at all since the compressor doesn't fit with my spohn k-member(I think this is because i ordered the k-member with the front brace mounts).
You can use the corvette accessories on an F-body LS1 but you would need to buy all of the vette brackets(powersteering, A/C, Alternator, and harmonic balancer)

You should mass produce them. They'd be big sellers in certain parts of the country. . .

I just looked out and they're all there. Your lucky.
Man, we are just giving you a hard time, because we are jealous that we don't have a LS1. And that is the only flaw that we see.

You don't need an A/C detele pully, atleast not for the vette accesories. I have two belts, one for just the AC and another for all the other accesories.
I'm not taking anyones comments personal, its all in fun.
I don't want to hijack the thread but ehres the real reason for the wood:

Re: LS1 corvette accessories???
This thread is great... Personally, I'd like to see you take one of those hand-held propane or MAPP gas torches, & burn a 'Type R' into that wooden front bumper...

OK, since that's not likely to happen, how about you get a picture of that LSx engine from the side (once it's installed again), so that we can see the clearance you have with the Corvette accessory drive?
