Anyone have one in the works or finished? I'm thinking hard about selling my R6 to fund a Turbo Set up this winter. If you have, were you able to use the truck manifolds or was the steering box in the way? Looking to do the cleanest swap possible without cutting anything out of my car(will consider removing or cutting trays since they are easy to replace). Also know I will have to remove the front bumper support for the intercooler. What probelms did you run into while fabbing it all up?

 

Look for a guy named 25thredrs. I believe he did his with truck manifolds. I plan on doing the same thing. Search for 25thredrs. He is on this site and on ls1tech.com.

Dont worry Bryan, your safe for now. lol I would like to borrow the manifolds though, want to see how well they will fit. Just looking at options right now. If I go turbo it will have to be an extremely clean set up, nothing cut up or thrown together. Guess we will see what happens this winter.

 

well i AM doing the turbo swap. 71mm turbo on the 355 in my garage.

I'm thinking about it, but I don't know if I would be able to do it while keeping A/C, and without cutting the trays. I'd want to do twin low-mount turbos in back, similar to a Gen-TT setup, as it would keep a lot of heat out of the engine bay. However, the 4th gens have more room under/behind the motor, so I don't know if it would work. I'll probably try it in a few years once I'm done having fun with my LS1.
