Autometer install on 4l60e no shift!!

I didnt get any help on the tranny section o I figured i would try here. I installed my Autometer speedo last night and fired her up to go calibrate it and it wouldnt shift out of 1st.

Wiring.

Speedo input- cut the wire from the ecu VSS and ran to here.
Speedo output- The other half of the wire from the ECU i ran here.

basically the gauge would complete the circut for the ecu VSS.

Did I hook it up wrong? How should I wire it?

Thanks Jay

it doesn't pass through the guage you need to run the wires out of the sensor to the ecm and and just tap into it for the guage
