Dealer suggestions/recommendations?

Just looking to see who everyone recommends to get LSx swap parts from. Most of what I've bought in the past has come from Summit, although I've also had good luck with HawksThirdGen, WS6Store.com, & SDPC. At this point, I'm mainly looking for a good price on a Spec clutch (yes, I know that some people have had varied results with them, but I've gotten a recommendation from someone I trust), but any suggestions would be welcome.

And yes, normally I'd have posted this on the "Vendor Review" board, but since this is LSx-specific, I thought that maybe it wouldn't be too out of place here...

Thanks all.

Check out ls1tech.com. I think some of the sponsors there have a sale going on right now on those clutches.

Go with the LS7 setup that SDPC puts together, it comes with an LS2 flywheel and the LS7 pressure plate/clutch setup, nothing but good reviews on LS1tech about it, can hold quite a bit of HP without slipping and feels like the stock clutch.

PN: SDLS7CLUTCH

Re: Dealer suggestions/recommendations?

i'm with klortho If its mainly a street car you cant beat an LS7 clutch for <475rwhp

Its not the ultimate clutch for drag racing but it is still decent I've cut consistent 1.69 60's on mine. Cant be beat for the money and the LS7 is by far the most driver friendly clutch available. It feels just like stock

If you drag race a lot the spec 3+ is very good but you will pay for it on the street its a bit harsh. Break in is sooooooo key with those iron spec clutches. Most guys that have problems are with new clutches blaming spec when they didnt break it in properly. If you take note of most of the real fast guys over on LS1tech a lot of them use the spec 3+ and cut insanely short 60's

The Textrilla has earned a great rep as a tough clutch but its pricey

As for vendors? Patriot performance for engine parts great stuff, great prices.

Re: Dealer suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I'm going to be taking a look at the LS7 clutch you've suggested - it might even save me a little bit of money!
