Re: It is here finally!!!!!!
I have it all together and in the car with the help of the wife everything went pretty smooth except for the new crossmeber, had to adjust the holes for it to line up (skullet one). I need to get it wired up and the rest of the stuff. I will hope to have all of that done this coming week, I am putting up a shed the rest of the weekend so tomarrow is shot. I will post up some pics later.

Had to laugh, my wife got so sick of me puttering with my LTx that in the end she was standing on the front of the cars radiator support turning the load leveler..
Looks good, I am jealous.. still a foot or so of snow here, garage is 20 degrees and the car is sleeping..
BTW what throttle body is that? Summit?

well I plan on running the cc306 till I dyno tun it, if I dont get good #'s it is coming out.
This one was cake compared to the first time I put the lt1 in. lol ,and she helped with that one also. I guess after 15 years of marrage, and messing with cars she has picked up alittle.
And yes that is the summit 58 mm TB

Re: It is here finally!!!!!!
How about some details? Who built the shortblock and how much was it? What heads?
I'm finally able to finish my LT1 swap this summer, and I'm thinking of building something a little more wild than I had in mind, so I'm just curious what other people have going on.

Re: It is here finally!!!!!!
well I will not say who I got this block off of, I had alot of issues with the builder and the way they treats there customers, although the quality looks ok from what I can tell. this is a 383 with 11:1 compression with 64cc heads, all forged internals, splayed caps balanced and blue printed. heads are factory castings 54cc that have been hogged out by ******* racing out of Texas, .100th longer 2.0/160 stanless valves, 1.6 NSA R/R, chromoly 1.60 pushrods, fully posted intake, 58mm TB, 42 injsctors, cc306 cam for now. getting it dyno tuned next weekend.

Re: It is here finally!!!!!!
Well all the oiling thing is fixed, Replaced the lifters with some OEM type and worked as adverticed. Now on the new problem one of the freeze plugs started to leak, it is the one under the engine mount so I had to raise the engine remove the header and I could get to the Darn thing, looked like it wasn't in far enought so I taped it in were it should be and still leaked. I am using a pressure tester and couldnt get it to stop so I pulled it out, well by the time I got it out it was to late the Parts houses were closed so it will have to wait till monday. told the wife no cars tomarrow family time. come to find out the engine buider must not have looked to closely at the plugs this one had a good size gouge in it, no biggy get a new on in it monday, and this is with out pulling the engine. Anyways Here are a few pics that the Wife snaped with the drag wheels on and the engine before I pulled it apart again.
