Any Places That Do LS1 Swaps?

I might want to have an LS1 swap done on my future 3rd gen, but I cannot do it myself. I live in an apartment, I have no tools and zero mechanical ability.

Any shops/companies?

Hawks does them all the time. I'm not sure of anyone closer but theres a pretty big LS1 crowd in Texas so you might want to try posting in your regional section over at LS1tech to see if theres anyone closer. Good luck!

Does anyone know how much Hawks charges for parts and labor?

Someone had checked with them and it was close to 10k for the motor/tranny and everything to finish it.

How much would I be looking at? All parts, including motor and trans?

And yes, to do it right.

Re: Any Places That Do LS1 Swaps?

we went all out and bought the best of everything so lets say $500 for the crossmember, $500 for the toque arm, fuel press regulator, $750 for the harness to be converted by speartech, you supply motor and trans, thats for you to decide the cost on, as well as the exhaust, ours was 3k alone. and a nominal fee for labor, all i will guarantee is the install, if the motor/trans is bad, well thats on you. We spent 30k including the car, 10k on car 8k on motor/trans, and the rest for the swap.

At the Gathering, I asked one of the guys at the Hawks booth and he told me $5400 turnkey/automatic installed. And yes, I heard him right. The price may have gone up now that so many want it done.

Call Hawks. I hired a local hot rod shop because I thought shipping it to Hawks would have cost more. Hawks has done several cars and they'll spend less time on the conversion, it'll cost you less and it will come out good.

I'm a DYI guy, but if I can headers/cat-back with manual installed for less than $6000-6500....Yup, I can drive my friends old Neon for a couple of months.
