3-plug alternator wires

I have heard diffrent versions of how I am suppose to run these wires. This connector has 1 red wire, 1 brown, 1 black wire, can someone tell me the correct way to run these wires

red=power
brown=gauge or 12v switched
i dont think my black wire is hooked up, but i dont have any of the factory wiring hardly left in the car.
