caught on a few snags..help!
caught on a few snags..help!
my dad and i are swapping an ls2, t-56 into his 92 z28 and i have a couple questions concerning the swap..
-How do you guys set up your clutch master cyl? we've measured and measured on the firewall, but have yet to cut a hole for the clutch because we can't seem to find a way to keep the pushrod straight. The bracket on the master cyl is at an angle, would we have to fab up a spacer? (transmission and clutch cyl are from a 02 trans am).
-Where is a good place to route the wiring harness for the new motor? From there, where should the new computer be mounted? My dad said that we're keeping the original computer and just adding the new one for the LS2...
Thanks guys! I apologize if some of the information is reallyyyy easy to find, but I did a quick search and didn't come up with what i was looking for.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
I used the clutch pedal bracket as the template. My '82 didn't have hydraulic clutch (besides being an automatic car, '82 used a cable clutch), so there wasn't anything close.

(Not sure if the link is working. Try an advanced search on this sub-forum for "t56 pedals" and threads started by me.)

no point in keeping the old computer it doesn't do anything anymore.
I put the LS1 PCM right where the old ECM used to be.
