On the f-body, the PS pump is high and the alternator low. On the trucks, the alternator is high and the PS pump low. So, the brackets would be different.

Re: truck 5.3 power steering pump

I'll second what five7kid said. You can't mix and match accessories. Corvette accessories are different than Fbody accessories, and truck accessories are different than both Corvette and Fbody accessories. The difference is how far the belt is away from the engine. Truck accessories put the belt furthest away, Corvette puts it closest, and Fbody is in the middle. Also, truck accessories won't work in a thirdgen; the alternator will hit the hood unless you have a big/wide/long cowl (like the Jongbloed) or you modify the alternator mount. For a thirdgen swap, you'd be best off going with Fbody accessories. They're relatively cheap and easy to find used. Register on LS1tech and watch the classifieds for deals. LS1tech has a huge amount of info on this and other swap topics. They even have a whole section dedicated to conversions.

Re: truck 5.3 power steering pump

If you feel like dropping a little coin, this setup would get you on your with brackets and bolts. You could then buy the water pump, power steering pump, and alternator used without worrying about bolts and junk.

I've done quite a bit of research on this for my swap, so if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Re: truck 5.3 power steering pump

In the May 2009 issue of Car Craft, they have an article about the LS series engine accessories. they said the alternator is the only accessory interchangeable between the ls1 and 5.3. So if your 5.3 came with the alternator, keep it you can reuse it with the f-body bracket.

Re: truck 5.3 power steering pump

Trucks use the same pump as your 3rd gen, heavy duty designed for steering boxes. LS1's use a compact pump common on RNP steering systems. Totally different

Also, keep in mind the truck belt drive offset is different
