GTO LS2 M6 into my 92, any unique problems?

I know where I can buy a complete 30,000 mile 2005 GTO LS2 with M6 attached with complete wiring harness for $4000, is there anything strange about GTO engines and trans. that would make this swap harder than say a LS1 M6 from a 98/02 Camaro? This will be going into my 92 Camaro with 305 & T-5. Do I need to swap the oil pan for a Camaro pan? Is $4000 a good price? And I read something about LS2's burning a lot of oil, anything to that?

Well, the GTO tranny has a slightly different gearset, but that won't matter as far as fitment. Seems like there's something else about the GTO setup that you'll need to consider, but apparently I haven't had enough coffee yet to remember it...

Yes, IIRC.

$4k seems about average I think. "LS2's burning a lot of oil"?? First I've ever heard of that...

I haven't heard anything about LS2s burning oil...? And the GTO never had a torque arm setup I don't think, so that may cause a problem. Theres two ways around it, as it uses a T56 IIRC. You can get an aftermarket torque arm and crossmember setup that mounts the torque arm TO the crossmember (you'll need a new trans crossmember anyway to mount the T56 i think) or you can get an F-body T56 and use the torque arm on your car now.
