96' Camaro ALDL

Ok guys I have read about everything I could find doing searches and cant seem to answer my specific question.....

I have a 96' LT1 I swapped in my p/u and I cant get a code scanner to link to the PCM.

I have checked the ground(s) to the PCM/ALDL moved the ground to better spot, checked the wires from the ALDL to the PCM pin outs with a testlight (With the connectors unplugged from the PCM obviously) and I also verified the Diagnostic Request wire was intact. Now I did cut the request wire to install the ALDL and had to solder it back together (if this helps)
Whatelse do I do/check?

I also believe that the PCM is ok, I had the VATS programmed out by putting the PCM in a donor Camaro to verify its function. The engine also runs very well, just constant SES light (due to lack of further tuning) and no link to the Code Reader.....

Thanks for the bump, I finally found a useful wiring diagram and I didnt have the purple serial wire(class II) hooked up to PCM, works now.
