i did a t56 swap, but i used the frame mounts i picked up from Hawks, and used them with poly mounts on the block and a skulte x-member. worked well. motor/frame mounts should work fine for your swap.

The "brand" that I recommend is Spohn. You can buy them at Hawks....or direct from Spohn. Either way, they'll work.
Be prepared to have tight clearance between the oil pan sump and k-member...unless Steve started building the mounts alittle different. I ended up pulling my k-member back out and cutting and welding a notch in place for the pan. No big deal if you've got the car apart.

Re: ls1 swap eng mount advise
I used 1" setback adaptor plates. didn't even have to take my mounts out the car which was good for me since I had just put new ones in. didn't have to notch for oil pan or nothing. only thing is the stock ac compressor won't work like this. I just created a thread about a mount for the sanden ac compressor that will put it in the same place as the stock without even having to notch the k-member. check it out.

Re: ls1 swap eng mount advice
Im going with a Brp Hotrods Kit, albeit a bit pricey they pick then engine up a little more then the hawks kit and sit it slightly back. They claim itll clear the ac compressor from a Fbody setup. It also frees up enough room to run brps headers that run from 1 3/4 to 2in primarys. Most of this info is on the site, the only thing i am concerned with is the quality of the trans crossmember. It looks a bit weak in the picture and i have yet to call and ask if the will warranty it behind a strong 11 second daily motor.
Good luck with your swap, hope this helped.

If you want lots of clearance, get the Spohn tubular k-member. I have a group purchase going on with Hawks for $50 off. We need I think two more people!

Re: ls1 swap eng mount advice
do your self a favor put about a quarter inch of shim in the bottom half of the mounts to raise it up slightly this will help when it comes time to install the A/C comp if you plan on putting one on. The trany mount I ended up making a modified vertion of this with 1.5 inch tubing and angle mostly for clearance so the exhaust could run through easier.
Good luck on your swap
