4th gen brake lines

4th gen brake lines
there is a rubber hose line on both sides of the 4th gen rear and 1 coming up the middle. There are only 2 lines on my third gen going to the rear and they have been cut. which lines do i hook up to each other so i can have rear brakes? this is the only thing holding me up besides needing a wheel because someone stole it from my garage.......

Are you sure its not the other way around? Sure its not two rubber hoses coming off the 4th gen rear, and one off the thirdgen?
The 4th gens, with 4-wheel abs, had two rear brake lines, one for each side. Not sure if the thirdgens ever had that...even the rear disc cars. But Ive never messed with one of those.
In any case, the SIMPLEST way is to run a line from your proportioning valve, rear brake circuit, back to a rubber line. From there, down to the axle where it splits to each side.
Whenever I run rear disc brakes like this, I always install an adjustable prop valve, and I ditch the stock piece. You dont have to do this, but it simplifies the whole set up. I run the front brakes directly off of the master cylinder. The line comes out, and goes into a T fitting, then to both front calipers. The rear brakes come out of the master cylinder, into the adjustable valve, then back to the rear axle.
Is your car a 4-wheel disc car?

Here's what my axle connection looks like.
Stock 4th gen rear axle hardlines. Re-flared and tweaked to fit the block on that hose.

And it goes to the original thirdgen bracket, which I trimmed down some.

Sorry I probably oversimplified things...There are a bunch of ways to do it...Im sure you'll get some more chime ins.

I thought that rear i sold you was a 3 channel and only had 1 hose comming off of it near the pumpkin of the car.
4 channel abs cars have 2 lines comming off the pumpkin of the rear.

I might have confused you...I was asking if he just posted the issue backwards. But if you sold him a rear from a 3 channel abs car, it should only have one hose on the axle. I was confused about him having two brake lines coming from the car.
As I said...Im not real familiar with the thirdgens with rear discs...so Im not sure what configurations are out there. My post could just be me blowing smoke haha.

Ok, i figure out the problem, i forgot to reattach the brake line the the disc rubber hose because i used hawks lca relocator.
so i do only have 1 hose coming off the 4th gen rear end. Now, since there are 2 brake lines leading to the rear on the 3rd gen does it matter which 1 i use? can i just take a rubber hose, couple it to the 3rd gen brake line and use and adapter to couple the other end to the 4th gen hose? Thread
