None here.. If it was a problem. Compaines like MARCH , etc. wouldnt make kits for the an/braided line conversions.

Re: Lets see your third gen LT1 engine bays!
the adapters screw in the PS box and convert then to AN
Then you put more adapters in your PS pump again to convert to AN.
Its not a cheap conversion. I did it because my Supercharger stuff is AN fitting, my oil drain and feed are AN. Im doing my fuel lines in an. and My custom made radiator and WP will be AN.
I'll get some pic's next time im out working on the car. Im sure you can find pic's on here of others who have done it. Not just a LT1 thing.

W/ the AN fittings you can also use steel or aluminum lines. You would just have to pick up a 37 degree flaring tool, tube sleeves, and tube nuts. I'll eventually redo the fuel lines w/ AN.

-Using a alternator from a 92 4.3V6 S10, mounted low, down on the driver's side with a custom-made bracket. Sorry I can't find pics of it.
-All the wires either go through the hole for the a/c wires near the heater core or under the driver's side wheel well. PCM located in the interior. Notice there is no longer the bulkhead connector near the brake booster, it is shaved.
-A/C and LT1 vette fuel rail covers not fully installed yet.

I have the PS res mounted on a homemade bracket, next to the radiator where the battery used to be, on the passenger side. I relocated the battery in an enclosed NHRA-approved box in the trunk. I'm not using the stock hoses, I think I'm using 1-2 foot of hydralic high pressure hose for the large hose that goes from the PS res to the PS pump (could be regular 5/8" or 3/4" heater hose) but the hose just uses hose clamps. Been meaning to take pics of that but just haven't got around to.

Here is mine from my 1991 Formula L98 350. That's a Hotchkis upper strut tower support along with some SLP bolt-on items such as the runners and the CAI. SORRY, I JUST NOTICED IT WAS FOR LT1 ONLY.

The picture is about a month old. I've added the radiator, hoses, dual electric fans, and some other parts since that picture. I still need to get started on the harness and send out the PCM.

If your still trying to figure out how to do your power steering ^^ this is the way to go, a hydraulic hose company can make you up a hose to whatever length you need with the proper fittings on each end, if you tell them what your doing and even bring them in a fitting that needs to be adapted to they can more than likely make something custom up if need be.

Re: Lets see your third gen LT1 engine bays!
Heres an old pic from last year when i was finishing up my motor, but you can see where the PS res. is located with a bracket i made up/help from the wiper res. Also I go rid of my coolant res and went with a aftermarket one from jegs. The main hose you have to worry about being made up correctly on the PS is the one going into your steering box. the others can be hose clamped.

Re: Lets see your third gen LT1 engine bays!
I decided to show some pictures of my relocated power steering resevoir also. Pardon the hanging headlight door relays, I was working on them recently and didn't get them mounted yet.
I tucked it as far into the passenger front corner as I could with still being able to remove the top. I used a small section of angle aluminum that I bolted to the unibody under the fender to create a little ledge and then bolted the reservoir to the angle aluminum (painted black). Getting the new generic straight hose to bend in that tight area without pinching off was a bit tough.

nice job..very clean...how exactly does the resivoir tie into the 2 lines? the one line that screws into the pump has to be metal correct? and that goes straight to the steering box?

One is feed, other return. Neither are pressurized
The only high pressure line that requires special consideration is the pump to box/rack high pressure line

yeah, like Pocket said the reservoir only has two regular rubber hoses connecting it to the steering pump and neither is high pressure. The pump also has a high pressure and low pressure line attached to the steering box.

I'm going w/ a Caprice reservoir. Looks like it will be easier to mount.

B-bodys used the same reservoir. Hope you grabbed the AC/PS reservoir bracket too. Cut the AC side off and mount it anywhere
