I didn't see anyone using the Corvette style(92-93) A/C & Alt mounting on top. Is everyone mounting the A/C compressor underneath?

I just removed it b/c I don't need it where I live. With a stock K-member, you need to cut a notch to mount the a/c underneath in the stock TA/Camaro location

What does that notch look like? Does it weaken the K-member?

You are the man I need to talk with. Have you put the Vette brackets on to see if it will fit/work? If so, please take some pictures. The way my 83's A/C hoses run makes me think this would be the best way to go. I have a 92 Vette and the A/C set up seems easy to make work.

I would have to find the instructions on how to do it. I think I found them on here, but it suggested cutting it or pounding with a hammer. I chose not to both to preserve the K member and b/c I don't need it. I don't know if it would weaken it because the notch looked small. Ill see if I can figure out where I found it.

Well down here in South Carolina, A/C is a survival tool in the summer. I do remember someone talking about using a hammer to dent the K-member, but that didn't appeal to me. BUT, if I can't find a Corvette accessary bracket, I may have to do some notching and welding.

Yeah partially jealous, I love Charleston and the rest of the south. The corvette route would probably be better anyway.

Added an Electric Water pump; I'll never have to worry about a Failling water pump leaking on my OPTI ever again ! Now I just gotta' find some time to get the Strut Tower Bar installed.

Already planned on the Meziere HD elelctric water pump. I have it on my Vette. Love it.

Did you notch your K-member for the A/C compressor?

Re: Lets see your third gen LT1 engine bays!

Upgraded to a 95 alternator 140 amp instead of 120 (think its the cause of my battery drain)
Fixed my loose kickdown cable issue. It was a universal grabbed some fishing weights.
Replaced the battery
Replaced the transmission
Replaced the oil with 10w30 to fix a lifter tick

A good and efficient cai is next any ideas? I need a really good intake shield.

And to remove the ac completely just don't know what it takes to remove it and keep my heat.

Spark plugs And wires coming this weekend hopefully. Still got look up how to fix my fuseable link and wire up my fan.

The LT1 is notorious for lifter ticking. Especially with roller rockers. I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Most guys on the Corvette forum just make their exhaust louder.

If you are talking about that plastic thing on the left side of the photo, I don’t remember. It broke at some point and I just ran the hoses straight to the water pump/radiator and capped any vacuum lines. Works fine.
