yeah it can be done yes but i think the bolt holes dont line up probably a pain in the a**. u got to take heads to a machine shop and close bolt holes and drill new ones.

It would not even be worth the effort if you weren't doing significant mods to the rest of the engine while you were at it.

yeah the lt1 intakes dont flow very good the design alows the front cylinders to recieve more air flow than the rear so wouldnt be worrh the trouble.

Thats a wash. Cyl 7/8 lean conditions are present on ALL front inlet log style manifolds. TPI, LT1 and all LS series have this flaw. The only remedy is switching to a center inlet like a single plane EFI manifold. Your tuner will be able to cope with this minor setback

Theres more to it than redrilling the manifold bolt pattern but its far from impossible. My original point was that, if the intake was the only mod being performed on the 305, it would be pointless to go through the work required to put the LT1 intake on because the heads flow so horribly, the cam sucks, and the exhaust would be exhaling through a straw.
WITH those mods, the intake would be WELL worth the effort due to the increased flow over the, I'm assuming, TBI intake, and still a better intake for horsepower than a stock TPI intake.

Gads, a Stealth Ram is so much easier, and I can't imagine how it could be more expensive than going through an LT1 mod for a Gen I engine.

i get your point but there are mod u can do better than the lt1 intake and probably less of a pain in the a** and on the power curve talk yeah will probably give 5 hp more over the tpi but more than likely less torque but idc

Used HSR vs preconverted LT1, the LT1 is a few dollars cheaper in most cases. New HSR vs self converted LT1, its pennies on the dollar. My swap cost me around $400 with the preconversion, remote t-stat and powdercoating. I dropped 3 tenths on the 1/8 with just the intake swap on a L98. 5hp is a bit low. When I was doing the research, most reported 40-50hp increase with around the same lost in tq without the LTR setup of TPI. Will a stock 305 like the intake? Most likely you wont feel a difference. Will a modded 350 feel it? Maybe I'm a little slow, but I didn't get the impression this was a do-it-yourself project. Or that an LT1 intake was in-hand.
