4l60e problems
I have the car running and driving but have few issues i am trying to fix before a long drive. First it feels like no lockup, i can feel the tranny shift to fourth and it stays there. It is throwing codes at me and very hard 1-2 shift. Codes are P0740 and P1860. During the install i left two wires not connected, one was supposed to go to brake switch and one to neutral switch. I need to hook them up if they are causing the codes and no lockup. I tried looking at one for the brake switch but not sure how is it supposed to be connected. Does it need 12v when pedal is pressed? The wire for the neutral switch, i think it needs to be hooked up on the shifter but agian not sure where or how.

The brake switch is why you're not getting lockup
Here are the schematics for those two wires and your 89 C100 showing the brake switch wire from E7. Hook it directly to B33 on the PCM

The park/neutral switch should prevent startup unless you are in either

Re: 4l60e problems
whats the difference from B32 - TCC Enable Control and B33 - TCC (PWM) Solenoid Valve Control? Do i have to do anything with B32?
Re: 4l60e problems

B32 is clutch pos switch. B34 is PNP switch for autos. One must be grounded to start the engine, which is dependent upon the tune. Ground both and go on
Autos still use the PNP switch at the shifter to ground. Manuals either permanently ground it and rely on the starter switch to be the safety or run it to a separate clutch switch

Re: 4l60e problems
thanks for the help, i went ahead and hooked up the B33 wire and the tranny shifts smooth now, it still didn't feel like i got lockup but i only went up to 65mph. I am not sure exactly what rpms because the tach doesn't work right but it sounded around 3k. On a side note, looks like my alternator stopped working. I had to jump start and the guage is showing around 11v.
