Youll have two different VATS systems to deal with. The LS1 VATS must be disabled. You would have to swap nearly everything from the donor car over to make this function
3rd gen VATS is iffy. The fuel disable and injector kill functions will be gone as they were governed by the VATS module to the ECM and the old ECM is history. The only remaining function is the starter enable relay behind the drivers kick panel. Some swaps are A-ok with leaving this put and the original key. Some are not and the relay must be bypassed. I wish I could tell you which was the case, but youll just have to try it

To maintain some level of security various owner switches can be installed and hidden to disable a number of functions to prevent the car from cranking. You're on your own there
