LSX427sc w/ac from a 3rd gen

Hello guys,
Well I have another question...I want to run the third gen AC...I will be using the AC system from the 3rd gen but will get the adapter hoses for
the 4th gen/vette compressor...
The connector is the same I believe, compressor is being shipped with the motor...aaahhh.
I noticed it still had a cycle switch, fan switch, and hi pressure I believe!
This deal is on a relay and then slips in the firewall plug....the wire is brown and come from the alternator plug.. Will I beable to use any of this or will it have to be rewired...the computer is a M90 deal...
I had a ramjet350 with a stand alone computer in it(OBD 1) and the AC worked fine...so it did work with the factory and ramjet set-up
BE KOOL rad and 2 fan set-up is what I ran with the Ram..Works get..
So how can this work..thanks

The AC system is independent of the ECM/PCM control. Any computer relation is to bump up the idle to prevent stalling

To use the 3rd gen stuff, just make new lines to go from the condensor and compressor. You will have to use the 4th gen compressor clutch connector and join the wires in the pressure switch at the rear of the old compressor. The 4th gen unit has no provisons for it

Got a link to this M90 control? Ive heard a good bit of questions regarding it and know nothing about it

Pocket....

the motor and all will be delievered today..I noticed that
on one of the links you gave me that John Spear was on the LS1
tech line..its his harness I believe.

Give me a few and I will see if I get good info on this
M90 computer set-up..

So the AC is hooked up in series with a low voltage power..
Or keep the wires hooked up...So the Brown wire from the plug on the
alternator plug can be cut away frfom the wire block by the brake booster..
Because it will get power from the AC controller..right

Re: LSX427sc w/ac from a 3rd gen

The AC circuit has absolutely nothing to do with the 3rd gen alt wiring

It goes like this. Fully independent of the computer, with one reference when it is engaged
http://www.austinthirdgen.org/mkport...F_and_vin8.jpg

V6 or TBI carbs will have other switches to bypass in order for this to work. They are mainly fail safes so you dont overload the stock engine and stall out

If you're using a speartech harness, why bother with a different PCM? Use the LSx unit and skip all these hassles of wiring some like a carb, some like LSx, some like SBC etc

Re: LSX427sc w/ac from a 3rd gen

Hey pocket,
Sorry for all the hassling question. I was just trying to cover my bases but
the easiest thing to do is wait til it comes in today or morrow.
I thank you for the info thou...great help.. Cause I had already modified the harness for when I had the RamJet w/OBD 1

Also on the invoice sent by e-mail it says M90 computer with O2 set-up, so it may not be one of Spears...
thanks for the help..probably be on here soon...hopefully with pics
