I am going this weekend to look at a built LT1 from a guy in kentucky. He claims $5400 in the build. It is supposed to be stroked to a 383 ported and polished factory aluminum heads and a mild-med cam. What kinda horse and torque numbers would you estimate? Oh I think the intake is ported too. Its a 1994 motor. I know the tune makes a difference too just looking for rough guesses here. If all he says is true it seems like a steal for the 1000$ he is asking.....am I right or am I just excited about the thought of a ready to run 383 instead of my bone stock rebuild LT? If anyone else close to Indiana has a LT or LS motor they would sell me I would be interested. I already have a LT harness etc so if it is a LS motor I would need harness and computer with motor.

 

For the price of the engine, Id pull the headers and intake to check out the head work

 

very broad question to ask without detail on internals.....
my guess w/Lt1s would be 330rwhp on up to about 370rwhp as for TQ #s it should be in the 360-385 range again going by basic known combos
