so lets get this straight, so that no one is confused:

there is a market, budget minded or not, for the lsx platform in a thirdgen f-body.

hawks sees this market and immediately comes out with an exhaust solution in the form of their 1 3/4" stainless headers for ~$850 (3" collector, gaskets, bolts, etc)

the folks building 346+cube motors with lots of time invested in them eat these headers up.

budget minded folks start to b!tch

hawks answers their whining with a $550 1 5/8" polished stainless header. perfect for those 4.8/5.3 swaps

408+cube motors become more popular, and the guys that did a 346ci swap a year or more ago step up there game, but need a larger header to see full benefits.

hawks steps up AGAIN, and creats a monster 2" primary header, that fits in the car without cutting fenders wells, still has starter access, is built around an AUTO, and has amazing clearance. ALL STAINLESS construction, which means they'll outlast our little mu11et mobiles.

and now folks get wrapped around the axle about pricing on a header that won't be good for a motor that they're building anyway? this set of headers will be perfect for the guys who have $6k+ in their engine build alone. guys that are spinning the motors to the moon, or have huge cubes. they're NOT budget minded headers. but Hawk's already HAS budget minded headers for those budget minded. stop whining! Hawk's has to be the biggest supporters of thirdgens in the history of this site!

that said...Mr. Hawk, i'd like to see the headers offered by themselves. i don't need a full catback out the back of the car, nor do i want a heavy stainless system. but man oh man would i love to have a set of your 2" primary monsters!

lol, whichever, i think my point is proven regardless. i ordered them with a boat load of other stuff, so i'm not even sure what i paid for mine exactly. it didn't matter, they were the only solution at the time, and they were a high quality solution at that, so i didn't mind shelling out the extra coin.

 

Do you have the link for the $550 headers? I can't seem to find them on the site, but that's a decent price.

 

Go back to Hawks (Bruce) last post. He's offering a group purchase at that price.

I'm also waiting for the 2in headers to be sold by themselves. I bet we could get enough interest for a group purchase?..If so I'm in. I know theres a pretty good market for the headers alone.

 

Your first post indicated that this is complete, "From headers to exhaust tip", but I really only saw talk of the headers and the y-pipe.

Can I get some clarification? Does $2200 buy me headers and a y-pipe, or headers, y-pipe, and catback? If all of that, what catback?

I apologize if this was covered and I just missed it.

 

it's a stainless works/hawks catback, and yes, it's included in the price.

Hey guys, I have an update for you... pictures of the complete system installed. They have a set price now of $2,295.00, this price will include a complete SS LSX swap exhaust system with 2" primary headers w/ 3" collectors, a 3" SS Y-pipe, a 3.5" SS Catback exhaust single inlet/oulet driver hide-away tip, all SS V-Bands holding it all together. I don't have the eyes to identify an auto or manual from beneath - are those pics of an auto? I'd love to get a trans crossmember with some real clearance...

 

Thats an auto, they're easy to spot because they always have a pan. Manuals are usually just a cast case

Hey Hawks, I'm using a BMR torque arm similar to what you have there. With the relocation bar welded in...
The question I have is I got a BMR trans mount that doesn't tuck up as like yours...
I really want the system! Will it work or not!
Need to know if you have a O2 sensor bung on the passeenger side header, I see the 2 on the Y pipe....let me see if I have a pic and I will try to show you.

 

These pics are of the auto set up , which is what most cusotmers had complaints about before, the T56 set up has even MORE ground clearance, let us know if we can help as we have these IN STOCK NOW.

This kit will work around the BMR Trak Pak, BUT you will HAVE TO USE our long tube crossmember that we designed for MAXIMUM ground clearance, should be a simple change there only 110.00 for the cross-member, we do have all of this IN STOCK so let us know if we can help you further.

would these work with the 2.5 " collector SS long tubes with a transition to the bigger size y - pipe ?

Also , would you take an unused spohn swap X-member in exchange for the new x-member for people who brought what u had offered before
