The finished product - my LS swap
After procrastination in respect to not putting the interior back to normal and leaving some random wires uncovered under the hood, I decided today was nice enough outside to finish it. I even got the torque arm adjusted finally (it was at -10*, now it is at the suggested angle).
Even though I finished putting it back together, I didn't wash it. So there is some dirt built up from the last two weeks being in the garage, but regardless, here she is!
These are also the best pictures I have taken since I finished my custom mesh/Z28 grill a long time ago. Many people wanted to see how it looked in the sunlight, because my old pictures were in shadows. So if you haven't seen that before, here it is.

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
Thanks Jon, I really appreciate that!

And the pcv system is the RevXtreme can,and I love it. It was like $100 and some change. It was originally an a/c car, and I actually haven't wired up the blower motor for the delete box, and with it being spring now, I probably won't worry about it until later in the year.

Thanks Matt
Is there something in Atlanta other than G14 which is in May? I was going to go to G14 but instead I think I'm going to ThirdGen Fest since it's a lot closer to me.

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
Ya I would have loved to go, but my job situation isn't looking bright right now. I'm still looking for full-time work since I graduated in December, and with TGF being a lot closer, and less expensive, it is more acceptable in my current situation to take off work for and have a little shorter weekend. Next year I hope things are different for me, I still want to go to ATL.

Very nice! The 6 speed sticker looks right at home in there! Do yourself a favor and get a real air fuel guage though. That one looks like an autometer gauge and if so its crap. Just a fancy light show is all. lol

Looks great Nick!! I love that mesh grill on the front. That really cleans up the front end of the car.
Swap is looking nice and clean too!
Questions on your RevExtreme can as Im about to order one myself. Were you able to order it in matte black or did you paint it? And I see you have the filter on your oil fill cap. Thats an option I believe...what made you get/install that? Was that something that Lewis suggested when you ordered the can?

Re: The finished product - my LS swap

My camera does a good job of covering up flaws. There are paint chips all over the front of the car, scratches and dings down the sides of it, and the whole thing just needs to be repainted...but that's for another time, maybe next year.

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
Im sure the catch can will need emptied often, but its better than smelling that and having the mess. The only reason I think I might need that filter is because I wind my motor up to 7k and Lewis said I might need one.
Let me know after you get some miles, and some abuse on things if you notice any odor or oil mess. Especially with that top down...because I notice the smell worse when my windows and tops are out.

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
The only thing I have noticed is when I'm done driving it I smell like an old car, which I think it attributable to having no cat and having not put a small filter at the end of the evap line by the tank just yet.

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
I just sent a payment through paypal for a set of LS2 Corvette fuel rail covers. I'm going to probably smooth over where they say Corvette, and spray some black Z28 emblems with a bowtie in front just like the rear bumper emblem on my car...so the Z28, bowtie, and LS2 will be black and the covers will be the same color as my car when I'm done with them.

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
Yeah thats what is keeping me from getting the high output truck coils... I like my coil covers. I might relocate the coils eventually, but there isnt a ton of room for that.
As for the old car smell...no cats will do that. BUT...if you smell it while driving, thats something from up front...thats what Im experiencing. Its a very pungent oil vapor smell. Im ordering a RevExtreme can tomorrow. There is a GP on tech, but I dont care about saving only shipping...I need it before next weekend. Here's hoping...

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
So you guys had problems with the covers not fitting over the truck coils? Is it an issue with the mounting spots not being the same, or just not enough physical room under them? I think between my dad and I we can rig something up that will work fine, the whole swap was a giant trial and error experience anyways lol

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
I don't know from personal experience but I've heard it takes some work to get them to work. I don't exactly know what the issue with them is though, I want to buy some red Z06 covers for mine. Let us know if you figure something out

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
Yeah Im not saying it wont work...Just sayin that Im not willing to dump the cash into the coil setup to find out my covers wont fit. At least right now. Money sucks.
Anything can be made to work. Just depends how much patience and work you want to put into it. Right now...I wanna drive the crud out of my car. Im done tinkering until I get some moolah saved up.

Re: The finished product - my LS swap
I hear that...I have a bad steering column in mine. The high beams are stuck on, so I have disconnected the wiring from them under the hood, but the lamp indicator is still on in the dash. I have a good column to put in, but don't really want to screw with it right now.
