2ndgen LS1 swap time!
I know it's not 3rdgen, but a lot of the things in the swap also pertain to 3rdgen's. So with that said someone tell me if I can post about it here as I go?

The guideline is "3rd gen related".
I talk about my 396 in the '57 here and on the Carburetor forum, but I don't discuss the engine/transmission chassis mounts or the installation of the Lokar throttle cable, for instance.
Basically, if what you post can be applied to a 3rd gen LS swap, then it'll be tolerated.

Re: 2ndgen LS1 swap time!
ehh I'm lost, to me something like a lokar cable is great info because they don't sell the 4thgen cable anymore so people are looking for other solutions and that works on both a 2nd and 3rdgen, but you say it's not.
This swap is forcing me to use things like that. I'd say where my past writeup was built around the 88/90-92 years this one will be more pertinant to the 82-87/89 years as I now have to worrry about guages and stuff I didn't before.
Also were last time I used a T56 so instructions were related to that, this time it won't be a T56, so more new info in regard to trannies.
But to not step on any toes, instead of doing a big writeup like before, I'll just link and people can go there if they want to read about it as it goes.
Hope that's acceptable.
