Diidnt win it, someone outbid me by $0.99 and got it for $50.99. How much for one of those cummins turbos?

 

Front or remote mount? From what I hear about the turbine-compressor ratio, powerstroke turbos aren't good for remote, but the cummins 5.9 are.

 

What I eventually want to do is buy the new SSW down and forward turbo headers, so a front mount would be nice.

 

You have Cummins turbos for $50? I think I suddenly need one of those hair dryers for my 6.2 diesel. I'm at high elevation, so the larger the compressor inlet, the less I'll suffer "surge". Whatever that is, other than the line on the left edge of the map.

The cummins holset tubos will support about 600 HP off of the 5.9. That is my plans for the single turbo project in the near future.

 

Anyone know how much psi you can run through one of those Cummins turbos? And would a manual or electronic waste gate be best?

The 5.9 model is the Holset H1E 22CM= 1.00 AR, think they can make 750 HP with mods to them, that is the info that Nemess has given me.

in a nutshell the higher ar the longer it takes to spool, and vise versa.

DO yourself a favor and get a tc78...more compact and will fit much better. Or go allout with a pt88!

Oh and i don't think the stainless works headers work i our cars mounted downwards...only in a 4th gen

 

Nemess is working on some headers for our cars with the front mount turbo, i will get him to give you some info.

I think you're right, I think the headers I'm talking about are up and forward. Either way they look nice!

 

I will upload a couple pics he sent me with the H1E mounted, it is still in the works but Nemess is build all of his own parts, just like the pulley system u have on my 6.0.

Is that I log type manifold? Or does the driver side loop to the passengerside front of the engine?

 

All tubular turbo headers and is front crossover pipe and passenger side down pipe.

 

Yea I'm definitely gonna have to get some stuff from him later. Do you know how much that stuff cost just for the piping and headers?
