LS1 motor mounts. Poly vs regular

I have a stock set of motor mounts but I'm thinking of swapping in poly mounts instead. Is it worth it? Does it raise the engine any like the old SBC mounts did? Basically a stock LS6 headed and intaked 6.0L with a 228/230 112 cam.

The engine doesnt lift like the old SBCs did, same spot. Down side is teh through bolts are a bit tricky to shoot through because poly doesnt move as much

I would HIGHLY recommend the poly kit with the LSx engine. Take a ride in a 4th gen LS1 with rubbers then another with polys. Totally different car in a good way

The stock rubber inserts are tiny compared to the poly inserts.

I vote poly if you have the engine out already, BlueZee28 did his in the car and I believe he had a hard time. I did mine while the motor was out and it was a piece of cake (somewhat lol)

Ya, I wouldnt try it with the motor and k member in the car. If you're gonna do it, take it back out first.
