I HAVE A 91 CAMARO WITH AN LS6 T56 CONVERSION WITH A PSI STAND ALONE WIRING HARNESS. IT HAS A SIGNAL OUT PUT WIRE COMING FROM THE ECM. CAN I HOOK IT DIRECTLY TO THE SIGNAL INPUT ON MY ELECTRIC SPEEDOMETER OR AM I GOING TO NEED A SIGNAL CONVERION BOX LIKE THE FACTORY BOX THAT COMES IN THE CAR, IF THATS THE CASE HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT HOOKING IT UP?I CALLED THE PSI COMPANY REP, AND HE TOLD ME HE WASENT SURE IF I COULD HOOK IT DIRECTLY TO THE SEEDOMETER OR IF I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO GOT A DIFFERENT ROUTE.

Hey D2, I dont know alot about this, but what I have learned by trying to find out info about my LS T-56/speedo sending unit working with my 92 speedo is that the Digital interface SGI-5 from Dakota Digital will do the job, apparently. But I'm still not fully convenced that it is necessary ever since I saw a aftermarket replacement LS T-56 speedo sending unit that was advertised as "dual phase", but it failed to say which phase's. But at $79 bucks, its not that bad, for the SGI-5. They also make one for the tach, SGI-8.
Ok i will check that out thank you. Since the cammaro came with the signal converter box i am wondering if there is a way i can use that one, save some money you know.

Its Pulse not phase. My bad, its ppm, and they're different from 3rd gen to 4th gen, even though both speedometer's are electric. Let me know wha cha find out. Thanks.

Just hook the output wire directly to your tach input. If the value is wrong, change the engine mode (LSx output 4cyl signal). If the tach doesnt move at all, use the booster wire
No converter box is required for electric speedos. LT1 T56 onto an older engine require the box because the newer electric VSS output 11 or 17ppr (pulse per revolution of the shaft) for T56 and 40ppr 4L60E. 3rd and 4th gen speedos are driven by 4000ppm (pulse per driven mile). Your LTx/LSx PCM will convert this for you. When the vanilla trans is bolted on, there is no PCM to do this conversion so it must be addressed with a box

So if I dont have any pcm, I need a box. Oh, sorry for my ignorance but I dont know what the "sticky's" are.
