ls swap on my 88 vert
i have a few questions i piked up a 4.8 off a 01 silverado for $125 and i was wondering what would i need to swap it to an ls1 intake manifold if possible. aside from the obvious like the fuel rail and intake manifold what else would be needed to swap, would i be able to put an ls11 intake manifold using the stock heads? the heads are my main concern

Everything from the LS1 will swap over. Have you thought about picking up a 5.3L truck block for just a few more dollars? The power difference between the 4.8 and 5.3 is worlds apart, and you'd probably find a 5.3 for not much more than you paid for the 4.8. I'm just sayin'.

yeah im sure it would be a big difference i might do that , but i the only thing im in need id a 6speed trans cause my z is a 5speed so i wouldnt have to worry about the pedals so as soon as i come acroos a manual trans my build will be on hold
