Re: i need help quick please

i suppose the engine is in the car? if so you must want to change them. you can either make the tools or buy them to change the springs. what harness do you have on the car now. as for the tranny you will have to visit bowtieoverdrives and order the parts needed for the tb and tranny to work. and a custom tune. we really need more info.

no way, you are better off with the 700r4. but the 700r4 is usually week unless it is very well built. make sure u have the proper spacer to connect the 700r4 to the ls engine. i bought a hughes spacer and it was like 50 bucks, but u said u have the engine already bolted to the trans so that might be a nightmare.

Re: i need help quick please

A 700R4 or any other non-LSx trans wont last 5 minutes of run time behind a LSx engine without the crank adapter to hold the converter snout centered. If its bolted on there already, its got to come back off

Sounds like you bought a basket case. Id starter over and redo everything to make 100% sure its right. Doing things over is a pain as youll find with the trans

Re: i need help quick please

yeah, probably best to pull the drivetrain and do it right. chasing all the crap down that you can't see now thats wrong will probably make you hate the whole car.

i only paid 1k for it. im taking it to my uncles garage and were ripping this thing all apart and doing it all the right way and were even going to rebuild the engine to make sure it will run to its best. the transmission is getting a reverse valve body and its getting pro street built. what the hell is the adapter everyone keeps talking about?!@?!?!!@#@!#$ send me a link to it so i know what to buy.

im thinking about just buying back the formula and dropping this thing in there and throwing a t56 behind it since the formula has a t5 in it all ready

Re: i need help quick please

3 options for the trans

1) Buy a LSx specific converter

2) GM 01+ 6.0 to 4L80E adapter w/ longer bolts using a flat flexplate

3) Hughes adapter with a dished 4L60E flexplate
