Re: Throttle Position Controller?

Are you referring to the TAC (Throttle Actuator Controller) module? If so, you only need that if you're going with the drive-by-wire throttle body

The only things to keep in mind if you're going to use an MN12 is that there is no torque arm mount on the mn12, so you'd have to relocate your torque arm in which a lot of people are buying transmission crossmembers with the torque arm mounts. The other thing is that I don't think you'll be able to use the GTO shifter, no big deal you can just buy any stock/aftermarket f-body shifter and it'll work if you change the cup to the f-body cup. You also have to use the ls2 starter, as the f-body/truck starters will not fit in the bellhousing of the MN12

Here's what i'm referring to as the "shifter cup" it's held in by a roll pin

Re: Throttle Position Controller?

A lot of people prefer the MN12 over the T56 because of its better gearing and synchro setup. The gearing and synchro setup is the same as a Zo6 vette

Ratios:

fbody - z06/gto
1st - 2.66 2.97
2nd - 1.78 2.07
3rd - 1.30 1.43
4th - 1.00 1.00
5th - 0.74 0.84
6th - 0.50 0.56
