there is a bell housing for this. McCleod sells it. I havent used it so I dont know what little things are needed. or if it means a longer DS. It would be one of the better trans to use though

Why unless you already have it? The t56 is a better choice IMO. Strong as he'll and a proven performer for less money

honestly for the money people want for t56's now days its not. you can get a new tko500 for almost the same or even a tko600 for a few hundred more. which is even stronger yet. the 500 is rated the same as the t56 but based on its internals I think its a little under rated.

I would go with any of the three.

Just browsing ls1 tech got me a t56/bellhousing/clutch/pressure plate/flywheel/slave out of a 43k car for 850$ shipped.

that might be so but the average price is much much higher.

I can go all day with how cheap you CAN find some but that's not the average price by far!

the point here is the TKO is not a bad trans and in many cases can be found at similar prices. so to tell some one they shouldn't is a little narrow minded.

I already bought it.

Not so narrow minded. You can have a good factory gm tranny complete setup for 900$ if you shop and you get a extra gear which is nice when gas is 3.50$

give it up guy! you came into a thread to bash what he wanted to do. admit it your a troll. do a search if your so prod and see I got my last t56 for under 300.00 with everything. and the last tko I had in my hands was 500.00 I wasnt going to talk prices like you seem so happy to do. just move on and let threads that are here to inform to just that

I'm not bashing just suggesting a 6 speed. I will call you a liar on your 300$ complete setup t56. Must have been a bare case or a core.
