Engine wont start.
I just recently swapped an lt1 into my 1992 camaro. i carbed it. yeah yeah i dont want to hear it, i know people keep saying to keep it fuel injected. well anyways i had one of the spark plug wires unhooked without knowing it and i started it and it drove around and backfired a lot. and then i popped the hood and i found the spark plug unplugged i then plugged it in and i tryed starting it, it fired up and then it died... i have know clue what has happend it was running fine before i plugged it back in. has anyone had this happen? im going to mess with it today and see if i can fix it. my questions are if that spark plug wasnt firing would that cylinder be flooded? does that affect the way it starts?.. I know it might be a timing issue, i just recently took the distributor off.
Re: Engine wont start.
See if you are getting spark, enough fuel, maybe re-adjust the timing with a timing gun. Hard to say, its weird it just died shortly after hooking up the plugwire. Double-check everything even simple stuff like plug wires going to the correct cylinders.

Re: Engine wont start.
Thanks for the reply I just checked all those things took me awhile but I retimed it just to make sure and it still wouldn't start so I checked for spark. There was spark. I should have checked the fuel line to th carb because I wouldn't have had to do anything. There was no fuel getting to the carb. But there was fuel in the fuel filter so I didn't think of it. Lol so I was out of gas. I feel retarded now for posting it.

Not like you're the first one who's done that.
Glad it was something simple.
