LM7 5.3L / T56 swap from an 86' V6 sport coupe

I was wondering how much this would possibly cost for an engine, and tranny in good condition for this type of swap. Where might I start if I wanted to begin? And what all would I need to do to complete it and have my camaro running??

look on this website www.car-part.com u might be able to find what ur looking for. i want to do the same. this is where u could find the engine. idk about ur tranny though

You won't find an LM7 5.3L or a T56 from an '86 sport coupe. LM7's were only put in trucks, and T56's in 4th gens.

As for costs, look through the LS1 swap sticky in the top section of this forum. You won't find a lot of specifics because prices vary with condition, miles, location, and completeness.

five7's on point here - prices vary quite a bit. 5.3's range from 300-1000 depending on condition/year/location, T56 is easily $1k+. The little things will be what eat your wallet on a swap like this - special fittings, custom work, etc. There are a ton of swap threads over here, read em and take notes. Everyone runs into something tricky and each has its own unique challenges.
