Stiff pedal with Tick Master on a ls1 t56
Does anybody know what could cause this?
I just recently converted my car from auto to manual and installed a set of 4th gen pedals. Got everything pretty much installed and when I went to press the clutch down, it was pretty stiff. I was scared to push it down any further as I might break something. I have a remote bleeder and been trying to bleed out any air.
Also I know the Tick master is adjustable so could it be something from that? The alignment of the clutch rod seems pretty straight and not crooked. Anybody have any insight from what it might be? Thanks in advance

did you start with the pedal adjusted about halfway to the floor? too much stroke can damage your slave. stiff compared to?
you might want to check and make sure that the spherical end isn't binding on the clutch pedal pin. (unlikely, but never hurts to check)
according to tick, their MC will give a stiffer feel than stock. i'm used to mechanical clutches, so everything is soft in comparison.....

I thought mine was too stiff at first aswell. But it was mostly due to the 4thgen clutch pedal spring was new and gave a positive pressure feel.I adjusted my tick starting at the very bottom and worked my way up and then did the rev to 2000 and hold it there on a flat even surface and stopped when it met those requirements. What clutch kit are you using?

Just the fact that it's a 7/8" bore will cause it to be stiff. If you have a pressure plate heavier than 2500# that would cause a heavy pedal as well.

Well it seemed to solve itself lol. The pedal just got a little softermto the point where it's more bearable now. I think I had the pedal adjusted too high also. I have it barely lower then the brake pedal and feels fine. I took it out the other day for a test drive and shifted great. Oh and btw, it's a monster stage 3 clutch kit and flywheel.
