Lsx t56 clutch swaps?
When I first did my ls1 swap I dropped the motor and trans all in one shot from the top without too much difficulty. Now that Im in the middle of swapping to an lq4 Im looking at future problems that Id rather avoid.I didnt notch or grind down my kmember for the oilpan and it is tight between the two.The t56 istucked up there nicely and Im concerned if I blow a clutch with my added power..i doubt there is enough room to wiggle just the trans out of the way to do a clutch.for those of you who have had their swaps longer..how bad is it to do a clutch on our cars. And would it be worth the pivot room to notch the kmember so that the motor can tilt back slightly instead of pulling the entire motor/trans out to swap clutch. My ls7 clutch is great but i dont beat on it too hard out of the whole...but thats going to change with the new power from my cammed lq4.

Ive had my ls1 style t56 out maybe a dozen times over the years and it is somewhat of a pain getting to the trans to bell housing bolts at the top side however nothing a tight swivel and long ext cant handle..
I don't think i lost much over my old car and a gen 1 style t56 for clearance. im not one to put a jack under the crank pulley to force a rear tilt. and since your sliding in and out of splines you just get the trans aimed even and slide it strait in with no pulling down
