Motor mount Help!
Ok guys, I am having a hell of a time with my motor mount plates. I got a set of 1" set back plates from jeggs. But I have just about had it with these efing mounts and plates. I am already $75 deep into these mounts and I would like to get my motor in my car like asap. I am trying to upload some pics to show you what I am working with. I guess they are to big to upload.
I guess the question I need to be asking is, Are my clam shells supposed to be below the front 2 exhaust ports? Or do I have these mounting plates on wrong. I feel like a complete idiot asking this.

Re: Motor mount Help!
not really sure either, but the clamshells only have one place to go on the block. I used the Spohn swap mounts with the only issue being the second mount bolt being a PITA to line up (seems to be pretty common). I know many others have used 1" set backs with their swaps also. Search around the swap threads.

Re: Motor mount Help!
The problem I am having is the pass side clam shell hit the threaded boss on the block for the truck accessories.

I had the same problem and i just took a grinder and made a half circle notch to clear the bolt boss.

I already have the plasma cutter out for the morning. And that was the plan.
