The drivers side manifold has the o2 bug in a place that is imposible to have the o2 installed. Has anyone els had this problem?

If there isn't any clearance, what is stopping you from capping and welding a bung into the downpipe?

Well I thought about that but I don't want to mess with the ex. If I don't don't have to. I was just wondering if there is a ez fix some one has found that I'm overlooking.

Well you learn somthin new everyday. Come to find out you can run the car with no o2's so I'm just going to drive it to the ex. Shop right down the road and have them do it.

Re: o2 bug position

as you've discovered, the 4th gen manifolds fit, but the driver side O2 port is not optimal. i grabbed a plug for mine off ebay and have the bung located right below mine it the y-pipe. i believe a few people have been able to make it work with certain smaller aftermarket sensors, but its too tight for me to want to risk it

Does simply not having the o2 plugged in force open loop?

Yes and it will run but a little on the rich side but I'm only driving it about a mile to the muffler shop.
