My LT1/Carb swap.

Hey, everyone Im new to these forums however I noticed alot of people have interest in putting an LT1/Carb in their 3rd gens. I bought my 86 with it all done and it's a blast. However tuning has taken some time. Its 3/4 of the way tuned for the Carb and it get more exciting every metering rod swap and jet change. If anyone has the same carb and have a build of tuning for the LT1 it may save me some time. and if anyone has any questions let me know.

Thanks!

The carb doesn't know what engine it is on so tuning should be no different than any other
similar spec 350 SBC
Cam specs and Ign timing are going to be major factors in tune

In fact;
your actual tuning problem has nothing to do with it being a LT1 or a engine swap
so the carb tuning question should be asked in the CARB dept

Re: My LT1/Carb swap.

Yes it is a carb tuning factor.
Needs bigger holes in the accelerator pump. as well as some slight spring/rod tuning.
External fuel pumps are the way to go simple easy to install and take off.
As well if you decide to get a D-body LT1 they are very common at a scrap yard. Where the F-Body or Y bodys are harder to get.
