swap a 305 for a 99 ls1, in my 92 camaro, help....
Hi I´m going to swap the engine of my 92 camaro, my engine is a 305 tbi, and the new engine is a 99 ls1 from a z28 camaro, so my questions if some one can help are the next one,
1. do i need to change the mount or supports of the engine?
2. my transmission fits with the new engine?
3. according to the wires, it´s to much problem to conect the new ecu?
4. my headers fits to the new engine?
If I remember some more questions I´m going to post it later, thanks for all your comments.

I moved this to the engine swap subforum, where it will get more attention.
In the top section of the forum is a "sticky" thread about the LS swap. Your questions are answered there, but I'll go ahead and address some of them here.
Yes. There are a couple of ways to go about that. See the sticky. TGO sponsor Hawks Third Gen has a portion of their website dedicated to LS swaps into 3rd gens.
It will bolt to the LS1 engine, but it doesn't exactly "fit". Getting a 4L60E from a '98-'02 LS1 f-body (Camaro, Firebird) is a better choice, for several reasons.
Hopefully you got the harness and PCM (computer) with the engine. If not, you need to get them first. The wiring is covered in the swap sticky.
No. You need LS1 f-body exhaust manifolds, or headers made for the LS swap into a 3rd gen f-body (available from Hawks, and now Hedman). Hooking up either to the rest of the exhaust will require special made parts.

Thank you for all your comments, I appreciate, I´m still research info to make it more easy, cause here in mexico is a little difficult to find first and ls1 working well, then, all the necessary pieces to do it, thanks again for your help.
