Hey guys. I've been lurking here for the past three years and never needed to create an account. (You boys (and girls?) are fantastic, and usually have already run into the problem I'm currently having.)
Here's my issue. I've got an '84 Berlinetta that I'm dropping a LT1/460LE into. Problem is, I had the LC1 2.8 V6, and the mounts for the LT1 aren't lining up. Do I need to drill new holes? Get different mounts?
The main problem is with the driver's side clamshell that mounts on the k-member (cradle?). None of the different holes on my k-member match up to it. Got any advice, or has anybody else done a 2.8 to 350 swap?
Any help would be appreciated.

2 things. Did you replace the V6 mounts on the k member with V8 mounts? There should be 2 sets if holes, use the most forward ones. The other thing, the drivers side motor mount on the lt1 needs to be replaced with a normal sbc motor mount, using a set of holes right behind the stock mount. Needs to be slightly modded if running A/C. Good luck!

You do not need the mounts that you posted. You just need a stock sbc motor side mount for the drivers side. If you're keeping ac, it needs to be slightly Modified.
- I was thinking passenger side, sorry. Make sure you have the V8 mounts on the k member.

No he does need to change the K member side of the motor mounts. He needs v8 mounts instead of the v6 mounts

It's the rubber peices that the motor actually sits on when you put it on the k member, the bolt oes threw it. Go to autozone and look up motor mounts for a 92 z28 v8 and you'll see them, they are only $20

Get the normal f body engine side mounts. They will mount to the lt1 as normal, and allow normal install just like a normal small block. I'm by my car, I'll try to get a photo if its visible.

Hey boys. Me again. Got the engine in today, but the mounts aren't lining up as easily as expected. Is it possible I put the clamshells on the wrong sides?
How much are you off by? Is it on both sides?
Erm. By about an inch on both sides. I'll try to get pictures in a couple minutes once I wash the grime and tranny fluid off of me.

Alright, boys. I'm going to be very embarrassed to admit this, but here goes:
I had the passenger side mount in the wrong holes, and upside down.
Engine's in. I'm gonna take a quick shower (I accidentally got drenched in turpentine and can feel my brain melting) and then go pop the transmission into place.

Good catch. Was a bit hard to tell from the pictures.
Aye. Now the only thing I need to do is swap my fuel tank for an iroc one with the in-tank pump. Is there anything I should know while doing this?
I did an inline pump on mine, so I have no idea.
What do I need to save/splice from the 2.8 harness? What can I cut out?

One, since I'm switching my carbureted fuel tank for an in-tank pump fuel tank, I'm going to need to plug in the new tank. There's a wire going to the old tank that has two prongs on it. The IROC tank has three prongs. Does anyone know what I need to do to get the new tank wired up?
And two, what are C210, C220, and C230 plugs and where do they go? Do I need them?

Fuel pump wasn't all bad, just time consuming getting it out if you've never done it. I got a Walbro 255lph and it came with the direct plug in harness.
