Cruise Control question

Cruise Control question
I have a 89 RS that Im planning on doing a LS1/T56 swap. So as of right now Im doing some research and the one thing I havent quite found a definitive answer on is how is the cruise control hooked up? Do I use the factory 3rd gen cruise control and figure a way on hooking the cable up to the throttle body? Use a 4th gen (Is there one?)
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
