Just bought a 92 camaro with a seized 305 tbi and 700r4 tranny. Since the engine is just a 305, I don't want to bother to get it fixed. I can easily get my hands on a lt1 and a 4l60-e for only 625$. What I want to know is will the headers from the 305 fit the lt1 and which wire harness would I use. The one off the lt1 or the one off the 92 camaro. Also what is the estimated cost, not countin the 625 for engine and tranny? And can i keep the a/c?I am new to this site and new to engine swaps. Never have before.

 

Some of the headers fit, unless you are talking factory manifolds, which you really dont want to try to use.

Depending on which headers you use has a good deal to do with making a/c possible

The wiring harness needs to be a converted hybrid of the two harnesses.

You'll need a new fuel pump, custom power steering hose, fuel lines.
