Ok so since I did the LS swap I have had nothing but issue after issue and replace part after part. Now I got a power steering issue. This is some background and what ive done so far
ca was a 355 with the last motor and all the steering parts worked 100%the seal was redone on the pitman arm and eveything. Then when the motor went it sat for a few years with the lines off but the holes covered. it was taken from my 85 and put in my 89 now but during the time rolling it around my shop and tunng the wheel would shoot fluid out of it till it was drained. COuld that be the issue with the box?
Anyways saturday I replaced the pump as I thought the used pump i got was shot as everthing Ive gonne used is shot so far accept the motor. needless to say I got nothing still. Swapped the lines and nothing still. So I guess it has to be the box or is there a trick to bleeding the system that I just dont know? anyone had this kind of issue?
Thanks Guys

What I did for bleeding the PS: With front wheels jacked up off the floor and engine off, turned the steering wheel lock-to-lock several times. Made sure the fluid level stayed up as I did this.
Haven't had a problem. But, that doesn't mean lack of bleeding is your problem...

i did the same..lock to lock several times and add fluid accordingly. My car sat for 3yrs no motor and pushed around..box squirted(hehe) fluid and sucked in air Im sure but after a week of my lsx swap I rebled the system and it has been fine.I did break the pressure line this yr but that was a used line and replaced it with a new one..no problems since then.

I jacked it up and did the side to side up to 30 times and still nothing. Swaping the steering box is the only thing left. after that if it doesnt work I will be completely lost.
86white_T/A305 - what lines did you use as i got braided home made AN lines when I got the motor

The high pressure line is stock 4th gen 00 camaro line. You have to slightly bend it back towards the firewall when you put it on to make clearance away from the belt..you will see what i mean when you change it.The return line is stock 3rd gen rubber line..cut to length and hose clamped onto the reservoir, nothing fancy. Im using fbody accessories..dont know if you are aswell.I did bleed my system with the motor running and turned it lock to lock slowly.
I doubt your lines are the issue though.Do you have any leaks, making any strange noises,or how hard is it to turn the wheels?Box might be your problem..Ive never had to change one or service one..mine is still original lol.

No leaks and no strange noises at all. Im gonna swap the box as mines not a quick ratio anyways and see what happens. i hope it solves everything so I can finally drive the car

I replaced the box and at the same time I realized one of the AN fitting going from the pump to the box on the side that goes into the box didnt have a rubber O ring on it. Could that have been the issue. I havnt bleed the system yet as when I was working on it on the weekend it started to pour while I was out there. Hope to do it in the next few days as long as I dont work crazy hours

No o ring would let air in and cause issues like what youre experiencing.
