lt1 swap - green plug on rear of intake on driver side

lt1 swap - green plug on rear of intake on driver side

I think the green plug on the driver side rear of the intake is the connector for the EGR solenoid. The solenoid has a vacuum port and a place for the green plug. Can I just leave it unplugged and remove the solenoid all together?
